Uploading music video footage
When myself and Khrystlyn Wilson completed filming footage for our music video, we then had to go onto editing the footage in order to create a finished product of a music video, but in order to do this the footage must be uploaded onto the computer as well as onto the computer's editing software
This is done by taking the camera's card, and placing into the computer'a system. Then I copied and paste all video footage onto my personal files, this is so video footage is not lost and I am still able to access the footage when wished so. I then used the computer's editing software to import all the footage, this is so I can begin to edit and create my final product, which in this case is my music video called, 'The Unknown'. Therefore this shows that uploading all footage must be done successfully, this is so not footage is lost or placed in an incorrect location.

Music Video Production.
What did you film?
For our music video we filmed ourselves lip-synching to the music, locations of the area as well as capturing any emotions/body language, this is so the storyline of the music video becomes more clear to understand, the audience understand whom the artists are and so the music video becomes more conventional.
When did you film?
For our music video we first filmed on the 16th October 2014, this was in the location of
WWW:
- WWW (what went well): Our music contains a wide range of lip-synching which is clear to understand by the audience, making the music video appear more successful for the audience watching.
- WWW (what went well): We have a wide range of cut away scenes, (such as location shots) which we will use in order for our music video to become more conventional as well as making the storyline of the music video to become easier to understand.
WWW (what went well): We also filmed in an area which provided a wide range of space, this then made the music video safer and easier to film, for ourselves and others.
EBI:
- EBI (even better if): We could improve our music video so far by including more performance shots within the music video, this is so the audience will enjoy watching the video more.
-EBI (even better if): The music video could also be improved if more different shot/angle types are included within the music video, this is so the video becomes more conventional as well as so the audience can see the artist's emotions more clearly.
-EBI (even better if): Also for the music video I could include the use of slow motion in order for the video to appear more interesting and appealing for the audience watching.
Did you need to reshoot anything? If you have already reshot it, what made it better than before? For our music video we did not reshoot any of out footage, this is because we decided our footage was successful and any footage we disliked we decided that we would edit any of it to make to become more successful and professional appearing for the audience watching.
Did you stick to your storyboards?
We did stick to our storyboards for our music video but the only time we didn't is when we decided to add more footage to make the music video become more successful and conventional for the audience watching.
Were you well prepared enough?Myself and Khrystlyn Wilson was very well prepared for filming our music video due to the fact we was fully aware of the area of the location, what each location has to offer as well as we only looked ahead to check how the weather may be during the day we decided to film our music video. Therefore myself and Khrystlyn Wilson was well prepared as we was fully aware of how the footage may appear when we finished filming on a set date.
What have you learned about filming from this experience?I have learned from filming from my experience is that in order to film and record footage successfully you must book experiment at least 24 hours before the day for filming, be aware of what to expect from each location, try to film in a location that offers a large amount of space in order to avoid injures of ourselves and others as well as bring a costume type that relates to your artist and song in order for the audience to relate to the artists/characters more easily as well as so the storyline of the music video to become more clear to understand.

Khrystlyn's music video evaluation:
WWW: (What went well): The music video displayed a clear storyline being communicated towards the audience. This makes the overall video become more appealing as the music video itself has more meaning.
WWW: (What went well): There was a fast pace and quick to cut to another scene of the music video. This being included makes the video become more conventional as it is very common for music video to be very fast paced and quick to cut to another scene.

This is due to the fact in some of the parts of the video there would be a second of footage in parts of the video. This the made the video itself become unprofessional. Therefore this could be improved by making some footage longer then a second long.

Successful part of this music video: 3/4.
This part of the music video is successful due to the fact it shows a clear use of both artists lip-synching along to the music being played. This is successful due to the fact that lip-synching being included in a music video is very common in many music video this is because it makes it clear to the audience to who are the artists are in the video though the use of clear lip-synching.

My music video evaluation.
WWW: (What went well): I was able to use a range of different video footage, which made the music video become more appealing and interesting for the audience watching because the video appear more fast paced and professional appearing.
WWW. (What went well): I was also able to make the video footage link to the music playing to the characters and both artists. This is so it clearly matched the two artists lip-synching along to the music playing. Making it become more of an conventional music video, this is because it is very important and common that many music videos include the artist clearly lip-synching along to the words of the song.
WWW. (What went well): Also in my music video there was a range of different shot types/angles which made the video become more appealing and professional appearing for the audience watching. It also made the music video become more conventional as it is very common in many music videos to use different shot types and angles.
EBI. (Even better if): My music video could be improved if I changed the original green screen's appearance by changing the colour, (changing the green screen's colour to any other colour besides green. This is so it becomes clear I have changed the green screen).
EBI. (Even better if): Also my music video could be better if I changed some of the footage this is because some of the footage was to long which may lead to a lack of interest for the audience watching, and it makes the video become unprofessional as a whole. Therefore I would decrease the footage to make it shorter, which then makes the music video become more fat paced.
EBI. (Even better if): My music video could be improved if I included more performance shots in the video. This is so it would lead to an increase of interest for the audience watching. Therefore I could improve my music video by including a range of different performance shots to make the music video become more appealing for the audience watching.

Conventions of music videos.
Intro: I have recently been doing research into music videos due to the fact I will
be creating my own music video so in order for the video I plan to create it
must have all the correct conventions needed in order for the music video to be
successful.
1.) It is very common for the artist to appear in the music video this is so the video appears more professional and the artist may appear as a character or lip-synching so the artist may relate to the storyline of the music video or just to make the video appear more interesting for the audience watching.
For example in the music video, ‘Flaws' by Bastille the audience see the artist singing and acting in the music video. This is so the audience understand who created the music video to begin.
In the next music video, 'Under control' by Calvin Harris the audience clearly see the artist appear though out the music video this is so the audience is fully aware of who the singer of the video is and so the video becomes more professional appearing to the audience watching.
Also in the music video, 'uncondionally' the artist clearly appears in the music video. This is because the artist is the main character within the music video so the artist appears in the video often so the audience is aware that the singer is the artist as well as the main character within the music video.
In the next video called, 'Counting stars' the audience clearly see the artist appear in the music video. The audience also see the artist lip-synching in the music video as well as playing types of instruments in the music video.
In the music video, 'Let her go' the audience see the artist appear though out the video this is so the video appears more professional appealing to the audience watching. Also in this music video the audience see the artist playing different types of instruments this is so the video becomes more appealing to the audience watching.
2.) The music video is usually the soundtrack to the whole video this so the audience are fully interested due to the fact the audience can listen to music while watching a video which may link to the storyline of the video shown.
For example in the music video, 'Flaws' begins with a quick pace to attract the audience watching. Also the music is the sound track to the whole of the music video. This is so the audience find the video more interesting as they can watch the video while listening to the music.
In the next music video, 'Under control' the music video is the sound track to the whole video. This is because the audience will find the video more appealing if they can listen to music while watch a video at the same time.
In the next video,' Uncondially' the music video is clearly the soundtrack to the video this is clearly seen because as the video begins the music begins as well. Also in the next music video, 'Counting stars' the music video is the sound track to the whole video. This is shown as soon as the video begins the music starts, this is the video becomes more appealing to the audience watching the video.
In the next music video called, 'Let her go' the audience are clearly aware that the music is the sound track to the whole video. This is so the video becomes more interesting to the audience and so its tells a story though the use of lyrics and performing.
