Completed added effects on final music.

Here I have used, 'Tube chop' to show certain changes I have made to my music video in order for my final music video to appear more successful, professional and conventional for the audience watching.

Here I have changed a long shot of water moving by adding the special effect of super expose as well as adding both artists appearing positive cutting to the beat of the music video. I changed this part of the video in order for the music video to appear more appealing and positive as a whole.

I then edited this part of the music video by changing the artist's lip synching by making the artist clear lip-synch to the music playing, I changed this part of the video in order for the audience to understand whom the artists are in the music video as well as making the music video appear both more appealing and conventional.

Also I changed this part of the music video by changing a long shot by using the special effect of super expose. I changed this part of the music video in order for the video appear more appealing and link to the storyline of the music video itself. Therefore by adding this special effect made the music video become more successful as it become more appealing and made the storyline become easier to understand.

As well as I added the special effect of super expose to a long shot of nature, I decided to add to the effect super expose in order to make the music video become more appealing and professional; this is because by adding an special effect the music video will then appear more professional as not many artists include use of special effects within their music video. Therefore by using the special effect of super expose the music video then appears more original and interesting for the audience watching.

Animatic three.

This advert is about a person who draws a person to life but then decides that the drawn person is not what the artist wished the person would appear to look, which then leads to the artist deleting the person but erasing the hand drawn person. The hand drawn person then wishes to take action by taking control, (of the artist's pencil) by re-drawing themselves once again, as well as drawing a positive facial expressions, this is to communicate to the hand drawn person feels more of a positive after taking control of the matter. Therefore this advert is communicating a hidden meaning, which is if a person believes you appear unattractive, (such as your chose of clothing is unattractive) then simply put a stop to this by taking control, such as telling others. This will then resolve the issue in a responsible and sensible manner.

Here is the music, that I have decided to use for my social messaging campaign advertisement:

Animatic two.

This advert is about a young female aged 15 years of age called, Poppy. This character induces themselves to the audience, in order for the audience to understand more about this character's background and lifestyle. However this character begins to explain how their dress scene doesn't appeal to other people's taste of clothing, which then leads this character being bullied because their chose of clothing appear, 'unattactive' in other people's eyes. This then leads to the character feeling alone, depressed and upset because of other people's options towards the main character's,(Poppy) chose of style. However the main character then decides to resolve this situation by telling others in order to help stop the bullying. Therefore this advert is communicating a situation which can be resolved in a responsible and sensible manner.

Animatic one.

Here I have created an a plan of how my advert will appear when completed. This advert will be about a young female aged 17, whom will be played by myself, (Clare O'Mara). This character logins onto a popular social networking site and finds a range of offence messages sent from a cyber bully. The story then communicates to the audience how this situation should be handled, this is the audience become aware of what is needed to be done in a responsible and calm way.

Here is the music, that I have decided to you for my advert:

Feedback from client.

I received feedback from my client, feedback is important part of creating a music video as it helps the artists understand what is required in order to create a successful, appealing and professional music video overall. The type of feedback I received was a list of improvements such as from my first draft my client noticed that I could improve the music video by changing a long shot to match to the beat of the music, (such as add more footage at a short length in order to match the beat of the music), changing some of the lip-synching by making sure the artist is clearly lip-synching to the music video correctly and by changing the ending from a location shot by adding some form of special effects.

I acknowledged the feedback given to me from my client by making the changes suggested by my client. This is because in my final music video I made the following changes, I changed a long shot, which was high in length that needs to match to the beat of the music. I improved this part of my music video by changing the footage by including new footage as well as the special effect of super expose, (super expose is a special effect which shows two lots of footage at the same time, this is created by changing one of two of the footage's capacity). I then created some footage of water moving at a fast speed while myself and Khrystlyn Wilson was shown in parts of the music video at the same time of the water moving, while matching to the beat of the music.

For my second part of my feedback I needed to alter a part of music video of the artist's lip-synching, this was required in order for the audience to understand whom the artists are in the music video and so the music video appears more conventional as well as successful. Therefore in order for my music video to become more professional and conventional, I decided to make the following alterations, which was I edited the part of the lip-synching by using the editing software, this is completed by deleting any of non needed footage by using the, 'cut tool' which is provided on the editing software of, 'Adobe Premiere pro CS6'. Once I completed this improvement, I've had then made by music video become more successful by changing the artists- lip-sycnhing by making it more successful and correct.

Also I received feedback stating I should slightly change my ending of a plain location by adding some form a special effect, this improvement was required as it will significantly improve the video by making the music video become more appealing. Therefore I improved this part of the music video by adding the special effect of super expose, I added both footage of myself and Khrystlyn Wilson walking around exploring the location as well as included footage of a location shot. Once I complted this improvment, I have now made my music video become more successful and appealing by inluding use of special effects.

Final music video and evaluation.

Evaluation on final music video:

WWW (What went well): What went well in my music was that both artists appear in the music video though out, this then makes it easier for the audience to understand whom the artists are in the video as well as making the music video appear more conventional. This is because it is very common in my music video for the artist to appear in the music video though out.

WWW (What went well): Also my video includes a range of different types of locations, the chose of locations relates to the storyline of the music video, (which is two females who wish and enjoy travelling to new areas). Therefore this shows I have included a range of different locations shots both relating to my storyline and making my overall video appear more appealing and successful.

WWW (What went well): As well as my music video showed clear use of editing, cutting to the beat of the music video. By including this it then makes my video appear more appealing for the audience watching as my including short clips linked to the beat of the music then makes the overall video appear more conventional and professional overall.

EBI (Even better if): I could improve my music video by including a range of performance shots, this is so the music video appears more appealing, conventional and interesting for the audience watching. For example I could add more performance shots of the artist's dancing, acting and producing gestures to the audience; this is so the storyline of the music video would become easier to understand by the audience.

EBI (Even better if): As well as I could improve my video by adding use of slow motion, this is so the storyline of the music video would appear more clear and easier to understand for the audience watching. This is because the storyline of my music video was two females who enjoy travelling, and at the beginning of the video the females begin their jounery and at the end of the video the females end their jounery. Therefore by using slow motion would make it seem as if the artists were dreaming about their past travelling advents, then making the storyline of the music video become more clear.

EBI (Even better if): Also I could improve my music video by including a range of different camera movements, this is so my music video would appear more conventional; this is because it is very common for music video's to include use of different camera movements in order for video to become more appealing and interesting for the audience watching.

How I used the planning documents for our music video.

When myself and Khrystlyn Wilson began filming for our music video we decided that using many of our planning documents we created before we began filming our video would help us create a conventional and successful music video. Myself and Khrystlyn Wilson decided that being aware of make-up decisions we would chose to wear for each day we filmed is important this is because it would help us be aware of what make-up choices we decided to wear for each location type, so this then helped us towards creating our music video as myself and Khrystlyn Wilson was aware of what make-up choices we have planned to wear for the chosen location we was filming during that time of day. We also used the storyboards we created before we starting filming our music video, the storyboards we created help before filming as we a clear idea of where to film, how it may appear and what the audience will see while watching the music video, so this the storyboards we used to create our help myself and Khrystlyn Wilson due to the fact it gave us a clear idea of how the final music video may appear when completed as well as what is required for each chosen location/shot type being included in the music video.

Myself and Khrystlyn Wilson created an animatic using the storyboards for our music video, the animatic helped myself and Khrystlyn Wilson towards creating our music video due to the fact it gave myself and Khrystlyn Wilson a clear idea of how music video will appear when finished. Myself and Khrystlyn Wilson created a prop and costume choices list, this was information we created to understand and be aware of what type of clothing and items of objects, (props) we wish to wear and use for each day we have chosen to film on, therefore this shows that the prop and costume choices helped myself and Khrystlyn Wilson towards creating our music video due to the fact we was fully aware of what is required for each part of the music video, that we decided to wear or use for each location type. As well as myself and Khrystlyn Wilson created a, 'treatment' this is a word document, of a range of information created by myself and Khrystlyn Wilson used to help us have a more clear and successful idea of how our music video will appear when finished and what is required in order to create a successful and professional music video. Therefore this shows the treatment document we created helped myself and Khrystlyn Wilson towards creating our music video due to the fact we was now fully aware of what is required and expected in order to create a successful, appealing and professional music video.

For our music video I create a, 'paper edit' this is information created by creating a table which is made to understand how I will edit my music video and how the footage will appear when being edit. Therefore the paper edit helped me towards creating/editing my music video due to the fact I was given a clear idea of how my music video will appear when completed, it also gave me a clear and easy to understand structure for editing my music video footage. Myself and Khrystlyn Wilson created an, 'editing schedule' this is a document providing a list of tasks that need to be completed by and what type of experiment is required to keep each set task. Therefore this shows that the paper edit helped myself and Khrystlyn Wilson towards creating our music video due to the fact we both became of what planning is required to be completed before we finish our music video, and by setting dates to complete any tasks become easier to complete as we was now aware of when any tasks needed to be completed by, (this is including both planning documents, first draft of our music video as well as our final music video).

Also before filming our music video myself and Khrystlyn Wilson created a, 'casting decisions' this is a list of each location what is expected by myself and Khrystlyn Wilson, (for each location who will be lip-synching and acting), so this helped myself and Khrystlyn Wilson towards creating our music video because we was aware of how each person would contribute towards the music video, making it become easier for myself and Khrystlyn Wilson create our music video quickly and efficiently. As well as before we began filming we created a, 'location visit sheet' this was a document describing where we film, the positives and negatives of each location type, this planning document helped both myself and Khrystlyn Wilson towards creating our music video because we was now familiar of where we would film and what to expect for each location. Therefore this shows that the planning document of the location visit sheet helped myself and Khrystlyn Wilson as we was now fully aware of what to expect from each chosen location, which we planned to film our music video at.

Before myself and Khrystlyn Wilson began filming our final music video we created a, 'shooting schedule' this document was created in order for us both to be aware of what to do for each day we had decided to film on, this then made it become easier for filming our music video as we was aware what day, where, whom, costume and experiment was required for each day we decided to film on. For our music video I created a, 'proposal' this was a document that was required to create a successful music video, this planning document contained information of how we plan to target our audience though our video, this information was important as it highly benefited both myself and Khrystlyn Wilson towards creating our music video, this is because it helped us become aware of the successful ways we can target our audience though the use of location, shot types, choice of costume, props, hair and make-up.

Myself and Khrystlyn Wilson created a, 'risk assessment' this was a document used to understand of what risks and hazards may become an issue while filming our music video, this planning document helped us both towards our music video, due to the fact we was now fully aware of what may be of a high risk while filming, this document also helped us as we had guidance of what to do if certain risks/hazards may appear while filming, so a risk assessment is important in order to create a successful and safe music video. As well as I created a, 'rushes log' which is a document which is created to know how much footage has been filmed for each day and so myself and Khrystlyn Wilson are aware if any more filming is required, (due to lack of footage). Therefore this shows that the rushes log helped both myself and Khrystlyn Wilson towards creating our music video as we was aware of how footage we had and if any new footage was required in order to create a successful music video.

Rushes Log.

Here I have created a, 'rushes log' which is a document which is created to know how much footage has been filmed for each day and so myself and Khrystlyn Wilson are aware if any more filming is required, (due to lack of footage). Therefore this shows that the rushes log helped both myself and Khrystlyn Wilson towards creating our music video as we was aware of how footage we had and if any new footage was required in order to create a successful music video.

First draft of music video evaluation.

WWW (what went well): I have shown use of a range is different shot types being included in the music video, this makes the video become both more successful and conventional, this is because it is very common for a range of different shot types to be included in a music video in order for the video to become are appealing for the audience to watch.

WWW (What went well) : As well as i have included both artists clearly lip-synching, along to the lyrics of the song. This is important in order for the audience to clearly understand who the artists are in the song.

WWW (What went well): I also included in the video that the artists making eye contact with the audience, this is so the audience can relate more to the storyline, artists and meaning of the song more easier.

EBI (Even better if): I could my music video by including more different costumes types, this is so the video becomes more appealing and so our target audience can relate more to the artists more efficiently.

EBI (Even better if): Also I could improve my music video by making the storyline become easier to understand, this is so the audience can relate to the video more efficiently as well as making the music video become more professional and conventional, this is because it is very common that a storyline is being included in a music video in order for it to become more appealing and successful.

EBI (Even better if): I could improve my music video by including different footage of performance shots, (such as the artists dancing), this then makes the music video become and interesting and appealing for the audience to watch.

My filmed rushes.

How to put the first draft together:
For putting together a first draft for my music video, I must include a range of different shot types, location shots, the artist being included in the video and the artist clearly lip-synching along to the lyrics of the music video. So far for my music video called, 'The Unknown' I have included a wide range of conventions making the music video become more successful, appealing and professional appearing for the audience watching.

Here I have included use of location shot within the music, this is so the audience can understand more about the storyline of the music video and so the music video becomes more covention, this is because it is very common to include location shots in a music video, this is so the video becomes more interesting and appealing to watch.

I also include the artist clearly within the music video but as well clearly displaying the artist's chose of costume, this is so the audience will understand more about the artist and the meaning behind the costume type.

I also include a wide range of location shots, this is so the storyline of the music video will become more clear to understand by the audience

As well as I included different shot types within the music video, as you can see I have used here mid shot, this is so the audience can see the artist lip-synching, the location for the part of the music video as well as the costume chose that the artist is choosing to wear for this part of the video. Shot types must be carefully and seriosuly considered when filming a music video this is because in order to create a successful and conventional music video there must show use of different shot types. Therefore by including use of different shot types my music video will become both conventional as well as successful.

Uploading music video footage

When myself and Khrystlyn Wilson completed filming footage for our music video, we then had to go onto editing the footage in order to create a finished product of a music video, but in order to do this the footage must be uploaded onto the computer as well as onto the computer's editing software
This is done by taking the camera's card, and placing into the computer'a system. Then I copied and paste all video footage onto my personal files, this is so video footage is not lost and I am still able to access the footage when wished so. I then used the computer's editing software to import all the footage, this is so I can begin to edit and create my final product, which in this case is my music video called, 'The Unknown'. Therefore this shows that uploading all footage must be done successfully, this is so not footage is lost or placed in an incorrect location.

What my focus group discovered.

From my focus group I discovered that females aged 13-18 are fully aware of how to be safe online as well as offline from the Internet, this is because when I asked the first question to the group, "Are you fully aware of how to be safe online? the group was aware of the types of sources which are available to help others who may be struggling both online and offline from the Internet, for example one of the focus group answered saying, "Childline is available", this then shows that teenagers are aware of what sources are available in order to help those who may be struggling on the Internet.
Also the second question I asked in my focus group was, "Do you talk to strangers on the Internet"? I discovered that one of the group members answered, "I think it's a waste of time" this shows female teenagers aged 13-18 years do not wish to communicate to strangers though the use of the Internet, this is because female teenagers believe it is not a productive way to spend their hours within the day, therefore I discovered by asking this question in my focus group that my target audience are not interested with talking to strangers online. As well as in the third question I asked the focus group, "Do you tell people you don’t know your personal details"?, by asking this question I discovered that one of the members within the focus group answered saying, "Not where I live just my name". This shows that female teenagers aged 13-18 years of age believe it is acceptable to tell strangers not where they live but only their name. Therefore for asking this question I discovered that female teenagers aged 13-18 years of age are aware that some personal details should remain private but some information of personal details is acceptable to tell others.

In the fourth question I asked to my focus group which was, Have you ever been bullied online"? I discovered that one of the members of the focus group answered, "You just ignore it", this shows that female teenagers chose to ignore any negative comments that may been given to them, therefore this shows female teenagers are fully aware of what to do if any negative comments may be communicated to them. Also in the fifth question I asked my focus group, "Would you ever meet up with someone you have never even meet before"? I discovered that one of the members in the focus group answered, "No, not by myself" this shows female teenagers aged 13-18 years of age are aware not to arrange to meet up with someone they haven't meet before without being accompanied by another person, this is to keep themselves are others safe. Also in my sixth question I asked my focus group, "
Have you ever told other people you passwords that you use for the Internet". I discovered that one of the members from the focus group answered, "Only friends, not strangers". This shows female teenagers aged 13-18 years of age are aware to only tell their passwords they use for the Interment to people they trust, and not to people they do not know and trust. Therefore from my focus group I discovered that teenagers aged 13-18 years of age are aware of how to be safe on the Internet but as well how to be safe when they are not using the Internet.

What my vox pop discovered.

From my vox pop I discovered that males and females aged 13-18 years of age are aware of what a social messaging campaign is about and why social messaging campaign exist, this is because I asked people in the video the first question, "What do you think a social messaging campaign is"? one of the members answered, "a campaign providing information to people" this shows male and females teenagers aged 13-18 years of age are aware of what a social messaging campaign is and the the meaning behind the advertisement. I then asked a second question to the members of the vox pop which was, "What do you expect to see in a social messaging campaign"? one of the members answered, "I expect it to be dramatic" this shows teenagers expect to social messaging campaign to dramatic, this shows when I create my advertisement I must make the advent dramatic, in order to appeal and interest my target audience of male and female teenagers.

I then decided to ask a third question to the members of my vox pop which was, "What channels do you expect to advertise a social messaging campaign"? one of the members of the group answered, "Properly all channels, expect channels like, 'BBC Four' as those channels are aimed for the older generations", this shows when I create my advert I must advertise my social messaging campaign on a range of channels but must appeal to my target audience, (which in this case is male and females teenagers, aged 13-18 years of age). The next question I asked the members of the vox pop was, "What target audience do you expect it to be for a social messaging campaign"? one of the members then answered, "11-20 year olds, as this age group will still be at school". This then indicates when I create my advert I must target people who still at some form of education; this is so the target audience can relate to the storyline characters, costume and locations setting more efficiently. I then moved onto asking the last question of the vox pop which was, "How do you feel while watching a social messaging campaign"? one of the members answered, "I would feel upset and intrigued". Therefore this shows when I create my social messaging campaign advertisement I must emotionally connect with the audience but communicate a message to the audience, (such as methods to be safe online).

In conclusion I discovered from my vox pop I will target my social messaging campaign for male and females aged 13-18; this is because from my vox pop, people aged 13-18 are not fully aware of what an social messaging campaign advertisement is and what the purpose behind it. So by creating an campaign advert aimed for males and females aged 13-18, will then help this age group become fully aware of what and the reason behind creating/advertising a campaign advertisement is. In addition from my vox pop I discovered that my audience expect the campaign advertisment to be dramatic; so in order to appeal to my target audience of males and females 13-18 years of age successful, I must make the advertisement dramatic and meaning full/symbolic, in order for my target to successful connect to the actor and message being communicate to the audience. Furthermore for my advertisement I must targeted people in some form of education; this is because members of my vox pop, expect social messaging campaign advertisements to target students, as well as targeting students will educate people of a young age about an serious issue, that they may not be fully aware of, such as cyber bullying. Therefore when I create my social messaging campaign advertisement I must make my audience understanding the reason behind creating and advertising an campaign advertisement, the advertisement must also be dramatic in order to clearly communicate a message to the audience, (such as cyber bullying), also my advertisement must be targeted for students in order to make younger viewers clearly understand the purpose of an campaign advertisement, so by targeting male and females aged 13-18 will make the age group efficiently understand the purpose of an social messaging campaign advertisement as well as the message being communicated, (such as how cyber bullying can effect a person and how to resolve the issue in a sensible manner).

Music Video Production.

What did you film?
For our music video we filmed ourselves lip-synching to the music, locations of the area as well as capturing any emotions/body language, this is so the storyline of the music video becomes more clear to understand, the audience understand whom the artists are and so the music video becomes more conventional.

When did you film?
For our music video we first filmed on the 16th October 2014, this was in the location of Rose Hill Park; we filmed in this location as we had a large amount of space as well as natural lighting which provided appealing and professional footage. We then filmed on the 21st October 2014, this was in the location of Modern; we decided to film in this location as it had a wide range of appealing settings that we thought would make the music video become more successful and appealing to watch for the audience.

WWW:
- WWW (what went well):
Our music contains a wide range of lip-synching which is clear to understand by the audience, making the music video appear more successful for the audience watching.

- WWW (what went well):
We have a wide range of cut away scenes, (such as location shots) which we will use in order for our music video to become more conventional as well as making the storyline of the music video to become easier to understand.

WWW (what went well):
We also filmed in an area which provided a wide range of space, this then made the music video safer and easier to film, for ourselves and others.

EBI:
- EBI (even better if):
We could improve our music video so far by including more performance shots within the music video, this is so the audience will enjoy watching the video more.

-EBI (even better if):
The music video could also be improved if more different shot/angle types are included within the music video, this is so the video becomes more conventional as well as so the audience can see the artist's emotions more clearly.

-EBI (even better if):
Also for the music video I could include the use of slow motion in order for the video to appear more interesting and appealing for the audience watching.

Did you need to reshoot anything? If you have already reshot it, what made it better than before? For our music video we did not reshoot any of out footage, this is because we decided our footage was successful and any footage we disliked we decided that we would edit any of it to make to become more successful and professional appearing for the audience watching.

Did you stick to your storyboards?

We did stick to our storyboards for our music video but the only time we didn't is when we decided to add more footage to make the music video become more successful and conventional for the audience watching.

Were you well prepared enough?Myself and Khrystlyn Wilson was very well prepared for filming our music video due to the fact we was fully aware of the area of the location, what each location has to offer as well as we only looked ahead to check how the weather may be during the day we decided to film our music video. Therefore myself and Khrystlyn Wilson was well prepared as we was fully aware of how the footage may appear when we finished filming on a set date.

What have you learned about filming from this experience?I have learned from filming from my experience is that in order to film and record footage successfully you must book experiment at least 24 hours before the day for filming, be aware of what to expect from each location, try to film in a location that offers a large amount of space in order to avoid injures of ourselves and others as well as bring a costume type that relates to your artist and song in order for the audience to relate to the artists/characters more easily as well as so the storyline of the music video to become more clear to understand.

Questionnaire results.

Here is my results taken from my questionnaire, I found this type of primary research very helpful for creating my social messaging campaign advertisement; as it gave me a clear understanding of whom and how I should target my audience efficiently and successfully, from my questionnaire results I decided to target male and females aged 13-18, as this age group was most suited from my the results from my questionnaires I gave out to 20 people.
